Kenton’s History
Serving Portland’s Kenton neighborhood since 1911.
Kenton was originally developed as a company town associated with Portland’s meat-packing industry. Since then, it has grown into a vibrant, multicultural, and multiethnic North Portland community.
People of many ages, backgrounds, languages, and life experiences call the neighborhood home. This includes people who are actively following Christ, those returning to church, and those who have never been part of a church.

Since 1911, the Kenton neighborhood and its way of life have changed dramatically. Through those changes, Kenton Presbyterian Church has remained committed to the truth of the gospel.
We seek to proclaim Christ faithfully, serve our neighbors, and communicate God’s love in ways people can understand.
We exist to worship God, grow in the truth of Scripture, care for one another, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with our community.
